We're on a mission...
to see 5,000 pollinator gardens
take root across East Texas.
Not showpiece yards, just real gardens doing real work for the bees, birds, butterflies and other pollinators that our area depends on. Each garden that joins adds one more stop along the way... a little more food, a little more shelter, one more reason for a monarch, hummingbird, or bumblebee to make it through East Texas.

5,000 Gardens Initiative
THE GOAL: To have 5,000 pollinator gardens planted across East Texas...
one person, one plant, one porch at a time.
Grow least 1 native or nectar-rich blooming plant...
Something that's actually feeding pollinators, not just pretty plants filling space in your garden
Plant at least 1 larval host plant for pollinators...
That means food for caterpillars, not just adult butterflies passing through East Texas
Adopt at least 1 pollinator-friendly habit...
Like bare patches for ground-nesting bees, standing heads through winter or skipping pesticides
